Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They serve various purposes, including remembering preferences, maintaining sessions, storing technical information, and tracking interactions.

Local Storage is similar technology that stores data directly in your browser with larger capacity than traditional cookies. Both are essential for modern web applications.

2. Our Cookie and Data Storage Policy

Ramunap uses cookies and local storage to provide you with reliable IPFS pinning services. All local session data is stored entirely on your device; we do not transmit your personal data to external servers unnecessarily.

3. Types of Cookies and Storage We Use

Essential/Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. Examples include session identification, security tokens, authentication credentials, and framework functionality. Consent is not required—these are legally exempt.
Service Functionality Cookies
Browser Local Storage and Cookies for pin management, authentication tokens, UI preferences, API caching, and reliability features. Duration: stored until cleared. Consent is required for optimal functionality.
Cookie Consent Tracking
Cookie name: cookie_consent_preference. Remembers your consent choice to avoid repeatedly asking. Duration: 12 months. Consent is not required—set when you make your choice.
Framework and Infrastructure Cookies
Internal cookies required by Next.js and other frameworks for core website functionality (routing, state management, security). Consent is not required—essential for website operation.
Analytics Cookies (Future Use)
Currently not in use. When implemented, we will use privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant services with explicit consent and full disclosure.

4. Third-Party Cookies and Services

Current Status: Ramunap does not currently use third-party cookies for analytics, advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes. We do not work with Google Analytics, advertising networks, retargeting services, social media tracking pixels, or customer data platforms.

Future Changes: If we implement third-party services, we will only use privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant providers with explicit consent, full policy disclosure, and opt-out options.

5. Consequences of Accepting or Rejecting Cookies

If You Accept Cookies
We will maintain your session and keep you logged in, store pin management preferences, remember service settings, cache API responses for improved performance, track service usage for reliability, and set your consent preference for 12 months.
If You Reject Cookies
You will be logged out after each session, pin preferences will not be saved, you will need frequent re-authentication, and the Service will function with reduced capabilities. Your consent preference is remembered for 12 months. We recommend accepting cookies to access full features.
